You can find this 1,250 sq ft handcrafted Douglas fir log home overlooking Sunshine Valley in British Columbia, Canada. This economical design features two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main floor and flexible space in the loft. The great room, dinning area, and the kitchen face the valley so owners can enjoy the view. We used large posts and roof logs to give the home a sense of strength. To reduce checking we kerf cut each log. We also overscribed the logwork to accomodate for future settling of the walls. To increase the R-value of the log walls, we installed P-gasket insulation in the walls to act as a barier to wind and water in this cool climate. Please contact us for more information.
