- Round & Square Cut Douglas Fir
This Douglas fir post and beam log home features a modern mix of round and square log work. We are using 15" mid-span diameter posts to give the 7,600 sq ft house a strong visual presence atop the mountain lot. An owner will enjoy views from their great room and deck. On the other side of the home, we are building a porte cochere to protect guests from the weather. The post and beam floor plan also includes an excercise room, media room, and recreation room in the walk-out basement.
A defining feature inside the home are two log stair cases which run in opposite directions of one another to the second floor. They are supported by a dramatic half-circle tiered landing. The home owners will also enjoy a covered breezeway that connects the 3 car garage to the main house.
