Post and Beam Home, Whistler, Canada
The basic structural elements of this large resort home are concrete, log, and steel. This place is solid! The Douglas fir logs for this home are average 18 inches in diameter, with two ridge logs and two purlins measuring in at 36-inch diameters. Log posts are anchored to the suspended slab foundation using metal plates and Hilti’s RE500 epoxy system. The Project Lead on this project is Hideto Kaneko.
