The log species you select for your home impacts the style.  Log home plans that use Douglas fir are designed to create a log home with a more uniform and modern look.  Our cedar log home plans are designed to take advantage of the look and natural tapered shape of the first growth red cedar logs.

First growth red cedar logs, which are indigenous to our Pacific Northwest region, are also highly resistant to moisture and decay.

With its pleasing aroma, exquisite color and natural “flared butt” shape, hand hewn red cedar logs possess a lot of character. Red cedar logs can be utilized for great effect to create visually stunning interiors and wonderful exteriors.
